Peron! Peron! Peron!

Watching the news lately and remembering things from the recent past that some seem to have forgotten, I am astounded at how much Bush and his party sound like Juan Peron from the Andrew Lloyd Webber/Tim Rice opera Evita. It's almost like Tim Rice was writing Bush speeches these days...

We can start with this video clip of Herr Bush.

It's annoying that we have to fight elections for our cause
The inconvenience, having to get a majority

Add to that Bush's demand that he be allowed to torture "enemy combatants," which could just as easily be me and you as Al Qaeda terrorists

If normal methods of persuasion fail to win us applause
There are other ways of establishing authority

There are the Diebold voting machines which are so easily rigged...

We have ways of making you vote for us

Then there are the voter ID cards...

Or at least of making you abstain

All I can say is this November vote like your life and all the freedoms you hold dear are at stake, because the just might be.
