This is from the king of lip-syncing shows, American Bandstand, but it shows Love at the top of their popularity in 1968. This is one of the most unusual Burt Bacharach songs ever recorded. Who knew Burt could rock? Damn I love this song!
Hey, Barry, thanks for posting these Love videos. Love is one of my favorite bands. I saw them twice (in the "modern" incarnation, with Arthur Lee backed by the members of Baby Lemonade) at First Ave in Minneapolis. The first time, Arthur Lee had laryngitis, and it was still one the best shows I've seen. The second time featured the surprise return (well, a surprise to me, anyway) of Johnny Echols.
Barry Keller is an artist, writer, programmer, creator, thinker, lover. Some day I will have some of this mastered. Well, one can hope. If I never master any of this, at least I will have had the pleasure of trying.
